Performance & Movement Optimization in Ahmedabad

Video gait analysis, movement screening and technique correction for athletes and active people who keep picking up the same injury in the same place.

Quick Answer

What is performance and movement optimization?

Performance and movement optimization is the process of filming and testing how you actually move, identifying the mechanical pattern that keeps overloading one area, and then coaching a measurable change in that pattern.

It differs from ordinary treatment because the target is the cause rather than the painful tissue. Strivon combines multi-angle video capture, functional movement screening and asymmetry mapping, then re-films you after the corrective block so improvement in your performance and movement optimization is demonstrated rather than assumed.

  • Typical block: 6–8 weeks including re-analysis
  • Best for: recurring injuries in the same location, plateaued athletes, pre-season risk reduction
  • You see your own footage frame by frame at every review
Overview

Pain Is A Symptom. Movement Is Usually The Cause.

If the same knee, the same shoulder or the same hamstring keeps failing, the tissue is rarely the real problem. It is simply the weakest point in a movement pattern that is quietly overloading it every single session.

Performance and movement optimization is the part of sports physiotherapy in Ahmedabad that goes looking for that pattern. We film how you actually move — running, squatting, landing, throwing — then break it down frame by frame against what your body is capable of on the testing bench.

The result is usually uncomfortable and extremely useful: a specific, correctable reason your injury keeps coming back, plus a plan to change it.

What Is Included

What Movement Optimization Involves

A blend of video analysis, physical testing and coached technique work over several weeks.

🎥

Video Gait & Running Analysis

Multi-angle slow-motion capture of your running mechanics, examining cadence, foot strike, trunk position, hip drop and knee control.

🥋

Functional Movement Screening

A structured battery of squat, hinge, lunge, single-leg and overhead tests to find restrictions and control deficits that photographs alone will not show.

Asymmetry Mapping

Left versus right comparison across strength, balance and control, because most recurring injuries sit on the side that has quietly been doing less work.

🏋

Technique Coaching

Hands-on, cue-based correction of the specific movement causing your overload — delivered by a physiotherapist who understands both tissue and technique.

📝

Corrective Programme

A short, targeted set of drills and strength work aimed at the exact deficit found, not a generic mobility routine copied from the internet.

🔄

Re-Analysis & Proof

We re-film you after the programme. Side-by-side comparison shows whether the pattern actually changed — and if it did not, we change the intervention.

The Process

How A Movement Optimization Block Runs

Session 1 — Capture & Test

Video capture across relevant tasks plus physical screening and strength testing. Roughly 75 minutes.

Session 2 — Findings & Plan

We walk you through your own footage frame by frame, explain the mechanical problem in plain language, and hand over a written corrective programme.

Weeks 2–6 — Coached Correction

Supervised sessions focused on rebuilding the missing capacity and drilling the new pattern until it becomes automatic under fatigue.

Week 6–8 — Re-Capture

Repeat video and testing. Improvements are shown side by side so change is visible, not assumed.

Ongoing — Load Guidance

Recommendations on training volume, footwear, surfaces and progression so the new pattern survives a real training block.

Who It Is For

Who Benefits Most

This service suits anyone whose problem is recurrence rather than a single dramatic injury — and anyone who wants to move more efficiently rather than simply move without pain.

  • Runners with recurring knee, shin or Achilles pain
  • Cricketers and throwers with shoulder or back overload
  • Gym athletes whose squat or deadlift always aggravates something
  • Footballers with repeated hamstring or groin issues
  • Athletes returning after injury who feel “off”
  • Anyone told they have “bad posture” without explanation
  • Athletes plateauing despite consistent training
  • Youth athletes growing quickly and losing coordination

Why Strivon

Why Analysis Without A Physiotherapist Falls Short

Plenty of places will film you running. Far fewer can tell you whether the pattern on screen is a technique habit, a strength deficit, a mobility restriction or a protective response to old pain — and those four require completely different treatment.

Because our analysis sits inside a clinical practice, findings feed straight into strength and conditioning or injury rehabilitation without a handover gap.

  • Analysis performed by licensed physiotherapists, not software alone
  • Findings explained on your own footage, not a generic diagram
  • Corrective work supervised, not just emailed to you
  • Objective re-testing to prove the pattern actually changed

Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be injured to book movement optimization?

Not at all. A large share of our movement screening clients are uninjured athletes who want to reduce risk and move more efficiently. Screening before a season is considerably cheaper and less disruptive than rehabilitating mid-season.

What should I bring or wear for a gait analysis?

Bring the shoes you actually train in, including older pairs if the problem started when you changed footwear. Wear fitted shorts and a fitted top so joint positions are visible on camera. If you run with a watch that records cadence, bring that data too.

Is this the same as a gym trainer correcting my form?

No. A coach can see that a movement looks wrong. A physiotherapist can determine why it looks wrong, which is where the treatment decision actually sits. A hip that will not stabilise because of weakness needs loading; the same movement caused by an old ankle restriction needs something completely different.

How many sessions does a movement optimization block take?

Most people run six to eight weeks: two assessment sessions, four to six coached sessions, and a re-analysis. Athletes with more complex or long-standing patterns sometimes need longer, and we tell you honestly after the first capture.

Can you analyse my running if I train outdoors?

Yes. We can work from treadmill capture in clinic, and we also review outdoor footage you record yourself using our filming instructions. Outdoor video is genuinely useful because road running mechanics differ from treadmill mechanics.
